Excel for Beginners

Approximate length of training module: 6 hours

Description: Our Microsoft Excel for Beginners training module will help anyone who is new to Excel or anyone who has very little knowledge of how to use the program. The training module covers the Excel basics all employees should know when using Excel spreadsheets. The course is divided into three lessons, walking beginners from basic Excel terminology to learning basic Excel formulas.

Lesson 1: Basic Terminology &  Navigation

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the first lesson of the Microsoft Excel for Beginners module, attendees will begin learning basic Excel terminology and get familiar with how to navigate through the different tabs, ribbons, commands and the Excel workbook. Attendees will practice selecting cells, identifying cells, selecting columns and changing the height or rows and width of columns.

Lesson 2: Working With Spreadsheets & Data

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the second lesson of our Microsoft Excel for Beginners training module, attendees will begin to work with data by working through the Home tab ribbon. Students are expected to learn how to cut, copy and paste cells, columns and rows and how to modify the content of a table, such as adding borders, shading and changing font styles. The lesson will end with using tables to sort, filter and do a find and replace function.

Lesson 3: Introduction to Basic Excel Formulas

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: To end the Microsoft Excel for Beginners training module, attendees will begin working with Excel formulas. They will learn the basic things you can do with formulas, work with operators, constants and cell references and will learn how to use AutoSum, the SUM formula and other formulas that beginners should be able to use.

Description: Our Intermediate Excel training module will help bridge the gap between knowing the basics of Excel and completing more complex tasks. During this module, attendees will learn how to work with different types of data, such as dates, large tables, text and numbers and will learn how to fix issues that arise when using Excel formulas. The module ends logical formulas.

Lesson 1: Efficient Ways To Use Excel

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the first lesson of the Microsoft Intermediate Excel training module, attendees will test their skills and efficiency in using Excel functions. By combining warm-up exercises and specific lectures, attendees will bridge the gap quickly between the concepts they learned as beginners and become more efficient with those functions. Attendees will practice efficiency with formulas, working with tables, copying data and using shortcuts.

Lesson 2: Intermediate Excel Functions & Formulas

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the second lesson of our Intermediate Excel training module, attendees will learn techniques to manipulate their Excel spreadsheets. During the lesson, attendees will learn how to use data validation, how to work with dates, how to add drop-down lists to cells and how to work with table formats.

Lesson 3: Intermediate Formulas

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: To end the Intermediate Excel training module, attendees will work through making their tables look a lot more presentable and work through more complicated formulas, especially logical formulas that require conditions, such as the IF formula and the AND and OR formulas.

Approximate length of training module: 6 hours

Description: Our Advanced Excel training module will help avid users improve their Excel skills by completing more complicated tasks with spreadsheets. During this module, attendees will learn how to work with anchors to work faster, how to use hyperlinks, protect sheets, use name ranges and work with tables.

Lesson 1: Working Smarter for Advanced Users

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the first lesson of the Microsoft Intermediate Excel training module, attendees will test their skills and efficiency in using Excel functions. By combining warm-up exercises and specific lectures, attendees will bridge the gap quickly between the concepts they learned as beginners and become more efficient with those functions. Lesson 3: Pivot Tables & Charts

Description: To end the Advanced Excel training module, attendees will learn how to insert Pivot tables, how to manipulate pivot tables and how to make pivot tables a lot more presentable. The module ends with attendees working with pivot charts and manipulating the charts to fit their needs.

Description: Our Microsoft Word for Beginners training module will help staff who has never used Microsoft Word or those who have hardly used the Microsoft Word program. The training module covers the basics in Word that all employees should know when using the Word processor. This course is divided into three lessons, guiding beginners through basic terminology and learning how to comfortably create and use a document.

Lesson 1: Foundational Skills for Beginners

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the first lesson of the Microsoft Word for Beginners module, attendees begin building their foundational skills. These skills include basic terminology, how to navigate through a Word processor and how to complete simple tasks, such as working with Fonts and how to cut and paste content in Word.

Lesson 2: Word Beyond Text

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the second lesson of our Microsoft Word for Beginners training module, attendees get a chance to practice their skills by adding additional elements to their document, other than text. Attendees will be able to insert pages, images, text, hyperlinks and other objects. The lesson will help increase their confidence in using commonly-known functions in Word.

Lesson 3: Finishing Touches for Beginners

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: To end the Microsoft Word for Beginners training module, attendees will learn how to put the finishing touches in their Word document. During this session, attendees will go through a series of projects to practice how to add headers and footers, use the page layout and the Review section of Word.

Description: Our Microsoft Outlook for Beginners training module is specifically designed for employees who have never really used Outlook or have very little experience with emails. The Outlook for Beginners training module is split into three lessons that will cover the very basics of Outlook and help attendees feel comfortable sending, receiving and using emails.

Lesson 1: Foundational Outlook Skills for Beginners

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the first lesson of the Outlook for Beginners module, attendees will learn how to write an email, change the font style, font size, font color and how to set up an email to be sent (with recipients and a Subject).

Lesson 2: Other Mail Features in Outlook

Approximate Length: 2 hours

Description: During the second lesson of our Microsoft Outlook for Beginners training module, attendees will practice using other features in Outlook such as using and organizing folders, replying to emails, forwarding emails and using images in emails.

Lesson 3: Introduction to the Outlook Calendar

The lesson will end with the Task feature of Outlook.

Do you require attendees to have their devices with them during the training? +

Yes. Since our training is very hands-on we have exercises that each attendee will complete during the course of the training.

We have specific dates in mind of when we would need specific training? How do we coordinate our availability with yours? +

Before purchasing, feel free to contact us via Live Chat directly through this page. Most of the time, we have the availability of our instructors in front of us and can confirm if days/times work for us.

Could we book your trainings even though our employees work in another country? +

Yes. We would first request that you contact us so we get a better idea of the day/time of the online training you’re planning. This way we can ensure that our staff is available.

Do you teach a specific version of Word or Excel? +

We typically teach the most recent version of Microsoft software. Most of our instructors use Office 2016 or newer (such as Office 365). If you have older versions of Microsoft programs, please let us know. Typically, there are only small variations of the programs and we can still conduct the training even if our versions aren’t the same.

How many attendees can show up to the webinar? +

Since the booking is for a set of time, you can have as many attendees in the webinar as you would like.

Do you train on Microsoft Access or Project or One Note? +
